Dive in Hong Kong

Now officially part of China, Hong Kong offers more than a quick shopping stopover for divers. Both shore and boat dives are available in and around Hong Kong with well over 30 that offer a variety of experience levels from absolute novice to advance dives over 20 metres.

Wreck divers will be pleased to know that these are a variety of wrecks to chose from, all easily accessible and safe to dive on with easy penetration. .
Starting at six metres the wreck can be explored down to 22 metres with easy penetration. There is plenty of fish life with large ray, lion fish,, moray eels, reef fish, and colourful nudibrachs. The wreck also makes a great night dive. The most famous dive site in Hong Kong would be "The Ramp" at Lung Ha Wan off the Clearwater Bay Road. Ideal for novices it can be easily accessed from shore or one of the local fishing boats can take divers out to an offshore reef.

Other great sites include Sharp Island, with good coral and fish life, Ping Chau Clowns on East Point with myriad anemones and their anemone fish associates, and Breaker Reef at Shek Ngau Chau which has both hard and soft corals, schooling fish, nudibranchs and crab.
