Mr. Pown Restaurant:
Of all the seafood places along the main drag in Lamai, Mr. Pown is the nicest. Fresh seafood is carefully laid on ice in front of the entrance, so you can choose your own toothy fish or local lobster. A patio of a restaurant, tables near the front railing are great fun for people watching. The menu is an extensive list of seafood of all kinds prepared in many Chinese, Thai, and Western styles. There's also an assortment of accompanying Chinese and Thai soups, vegetable, and meat dishes. Be warned, the lobster is delicious, but expensive.
